Octopus in the Shade

While sanding and finishing a floor at a big house out near Hancock, Maine, I decided to escape the fumes and go trespassing. I came upon a back yard of sorts where the trees had been clear cut to provide a better view of the sea. All these stumps where sprawled out, seemingly alive and well, enjoying the salty breeze.

Tide Pool

I went down to the tide pools at Schoodic Point over near Winter Harbor, Maine. A lot of stuff that washes up down there is all covered with rust and sea creatures and sea weed. I found out the next day that not long ago, a newlywed couple was down there and were washed away by a big wave. There is a sign at the top warning of this, and people, including me, ignore it and disappear every year. Suddenly, I am not so sure what is in all these tide pools...
